Any college level coursework in child development nutrition or nursing will be helpful. At a minimum this includes infant first aid and cpr and safety offered in virtually every community through the red cross and other public health agencies. They do however have expertise in infant care and development including feeding sleep training cpr managing multiples and treating the special needs of preemies or babies with a medical condition. Training to become an lpn is available in colleges technical institutes and even in high schools.

A baby nurse is a non medical professional who comes into the home when the baby comes home from the hospital.
They can provide overnight 10 12 hours daytime hours and 24 hour care.
